Welcome to my practice!  I am a Clinical Psychologist who has specialized in treating anxiety and mood disorders for the past 15 years.  My practice primarily consists of children, teens, and adults who find that their lives have been compromised in some way by symptoms of anxiety and/or depression.  I work within the Cognitive Behavioral framework, which research suggests is the most efficient and effective way to address anxiety and mood disorders.

If you (or your child) has had any of the following experiences, I may be able to help . . .

  • Intrusive thoughts that I can't get rid of, or repetitive behaviors (rituals) that I can't stop
  • Panic attacks (racing heart, sweaty palms, a feeling like I'm going crazy or am going to die)
  • Significant anxiety about being separated from parents, which can manifest at any time of separation (e.g, school drop-off, or at bedtime)
  • Pervasive worry about many different topics, with many thoughts beginning with the phrase "WHAT IF ... "
  • Problems with sleep due to worry or stress
  • Persistent depressed mood or apathy
  • Hair or skin-picking that results in bald spots or skin irritation
  • Significant fear of specific situations, which often leads to avoidance
  • Getting caught up in cycles in my life ... feeling stuck
